I have found this website to be great for people like myself! Not from CT trying to fish and enjoy what this state has to offer! I have to admit, I have added so many spots to fish, that I am excited!
This past weekend, I ventured out to Bristol and checked out the Pequabuck river! The only reason I knew of this spot was due to a post by a member of this website about Rockwell Park! Thank you!!!!!
When I arrived I was a little concerned because of water level! I did not see any trout anywhere! So I started out with worms and had a bite! I saw a trout come out from the side of a rock and take the worm, I just did not respond quick enough! It caught me off guard honestly! I stuck with the worms for an hour and nothing!
In my travel down the river, I found a little pool about a foot deep! I spoked 3 nice size rainbows! SO i knew where to settle in! I couldn't get them to acknowledge my worm. So I switched to a real small spin bait! 3rd cast into the pool, 2 of them rushed the spinner, unfortunately I caught the smaller 1(Picture posted on my profile)! Deff. worth visiting, just have to do some experimenting! |
